So honestly I'm split on this. I am still connected through friends and family, and I was certainly at one point the local golden boy and in the "inner circle". There are people I know that very much are as Mr Theocratic described (great name btw). I have a couple friends who basically believe its nonsense, and have even said as much. But they still play the game.
As a JW apologist I used to assert something I still think is true to an extent. EVERYONE sits int he KH with varying degrees of faith in this or that, one thing or another. One person thinks blood is BS, another thinks the generation teaching is ridiculous, and maybe someone else is there because the people are nice and its all they know and don't really have a basis of faith. All of those things are true. Everyone, has "doubts" about things. That to me isn't surprising. But beyond the occasional complaint, they nod their heads and still kind of do their own thing unless a large amount of social pressure comes on.
So I don't know if I can subscribe to the idea that there is a turning of the tide so to speak with these things coming down recently. People know I no longer attend, and many have remained friendly, invited us out, and more. They throw in a few things here and there sometimes. Little jabs to try to bring me back. Its mainly funny. But it reveals them as true believers. I still think this is the vast majority. The people that have seen the strings on the puppet show maybe complain or have knowledge they feel may be special, but what is important is what you DO, not what you THINK.
that is true of all of us too. At one point i realized what I was DOING, was hypocrisy even if I personally was out mentally. So I changed my behavior to not support even by attendance or anything ancillary, the organization.

It's starting shunning will stop brochure first.step
by poopie ini'm in contact with service and writing and brochure first step there bleeding publishers they can't take it anymore publishers are depressed because they feel they must shun others and they know it's unloving.

Ummmm.....I'm confused now.
Anyways shunning will not end. My official prediction is that they will still shun, but it may be moved to a "shunning light". Same communal social and communal excommunication, but less filling.
Something will be changed that will seem like a big deal to the rank and file. Maybe more visits from the elders? The ability for that one to be given a BIBLE STUDY with a mature member of the congregation? Something along those lines.
Everyone will nod their heads and say WOW! Jehovah is really opening the door one last time for those that have lost heart! What a loving provision. Some of those who have left will interpret it that way as well because they never left mentally, and then in 2016 they will read all of the return to Jehovah experiences.
And the world will keep spinning.
Honestly......its really quite brilliant. Giving the appearance of being reasonable, without actually changing anything of substance. Don't worry you filthy apostates.....you will still be shunned into oblivion.
Just picture the following sentence somewhere in the brochure. "....unless of course one has taken a stand against Christ's brothers."

Wife fully awake.
by cappytan ini learned this past week that my wife is now awake.

she is furious at the arrogance of these men.. thats what happens when you get a momma angry!.

WOW!
I am incredibly happy for you. Many heres husband or wife is completely the opposite. I too felt incredibly happy to find out my wife was supportive and loved me more than the religion.
it is a whole new freedom. Now you can do what you need to as a team. Remember doubt will creep up on her. Just stay the course, and her own personal journey may not be anything like yours. (my wife had her own things to work out). So be patient still.

JW in New Orleans in the news
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite inhttp://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/suspect-machete-attack-new-orleans-airport-has-died-n327841.
the machete attacker at the new orleans airport was a jw.
he had a history of mental health problems and "refused certain medical care".

Mentally ill Jehovahs Witness? Say it aint so!
For real though, its a tragedy, and bizarre that he would refuse blood (assuming that is what happened), while still planning to hurt others at the airport. Clearly he wasn't all there, which may not have too much to do with JW's.

by berrygerry inwas reading the comments section of the guardian story about candace conti.. an apologist or two were defending the inaction of elders - comparing it to attorney/client privilege.. commonwealth countries do not have the same blanket coverage that is appealed to by wts.. when searching whether or not reporting is mandatory in canada, came across this site:.
http://cwrp.ca/faqs#q5 .

Welcome Dr Who.
Crisis of conscience is a good start. I always am leery of waking up by the actions of a few local idiots. There are plenty of good people in there too. the main thing is that the same could be said for every faith. there are moderates, and those that are extreme.
The difference is of course within this faith, the extreme views are held publicly....by the GB. So they are mainline views, that many just choose to ignore.
Continue to allow yourself to see things for how they really are (not how you have been trained to view them), and you will be surprised. or maybe not.

by konceptual99 ina sick little girl goes to ny to meet caleb and sophia for her make a wish trip.. http://www.kmph.com/category/170789/video-landing-page?clipid=11142038&autostart=true.
i don't want to make too much comment as there is an innocent and poorly young girl at the heart of this but i do have to wonder what the purpose of the parents courting the media's attention over this really was..

They keep on trying to have a normal conversation with them.....and those two continue to resist.
When they say, what did you get to do in New York......they just defer back to the studio for JWdotorg.
The guy on the far left seems like he knows the family.
....or is that just me.
